NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Certified Mapping Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX. Candidates local to Austin, TX are strongly preferred.

The individual will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to determine remote sensing needs
• Compile, write, and review standard operating procedures regarding remote sensing acquisition
• Participate in the testing of proposed standard operating procedures
• Create metadata reporting documentation

Basic Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 years work experience with mapping technology innovation

Minimum of 5 years work experience with acquisition, planning, and processing of remote sensing data

ASPRS Certificate: Certified Photogrammetrist, Certified Lidar Scientist or Certified Remote Sensing Scientist

Preferred skills:

• Basic understanding of principles and sensor types used for remote sensing
• BS or BA in engineering, geospatial, mathematics or physical science
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform independent analysis, prepare and present well-written technical reports
• Direct experience with remote sensing instruments
• Demonstrated knowledge of remote sensing quality levels and quality control
• Ability to work across multiple technology disciplines
• Remote sensing modalities include, but are not limited to Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), Radio Detection and Ranging (Radar), Sound Navigation Ranging (SONAR), and Photogrammetry (Stereo and 3D Modeling)
