VP, Client Experience

Key Accountabilities:

Reporting to the Head of Sales Support, the VP, Client Experience is responsible for shaping and effectively communicating the John Hancock Retirement Plan Services participant experience to internal partners, plan sponsors and advisors. The primary role of this individual is to participate in sales presentations for prospective clients nationwide. As a part of the sales team, the VP, Client Experience provides key insights on strategy and delivers presentations tailored to the needs of the prospect.

As an expert on both client presentations and our participant experience, this individual will work with internal business partners such as marketing and product to help develop our offering. The VP, Client Experience will also participate in due diligence meetings, roadshows, conferences and other distribution events.

  • A charismatic, high energy individual with a passion for helping plan participants.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while traveling extensively.
  • Expert knowledge of the tools offered to participants in retirement plans and how they are best leveraged for different populations to maximize retirement readiness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • (50%) Provide participant focused presentations nationwide as a member of the sales team
  • (20%) Actively participate in all stages of the sales process from preparation through presentation
  • (15%) Collaborate across business units as a participant experience and presentation SME
  • (10%) Support due diligence, advisor meetings, industry events and other distribution related events.
  • (5%) Provide training as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years in the retirement business, preferably working in participant education, engagement or communications.
  • Working knowledge of the tools offered to participants in retirement plans and how they are leveraged for different populations to maximize retirement readiness.
  • Possess or have the ability to develop an expert level knowledge of the JH RPS participant experience within 3 months.
  • Superior communication, team selling and presentation skills including demonstration of technology
  • Expert proficiency with presentation technology and software
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deals and effectively deliver tailored messaging
  • Ability to travel up to 80% including the occasional weekend.
  • BS/BA Degree
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63

This position will be located in the Western US in a city with a major airport. Denver, Dallas, L.A. are ideal locations.
