Cloud DevOps Manager
Guidewire is seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Manager to implement and support infrastructure development for our Cloud Solutions. The successful candidate will have a good mix of deep technical knowledge and a demonstrated background developing and managing Cloud Applications. You’ll lead a team of talented, experienced engineers as they continuously innovate in building a scalable, maintainable platform.
Responsibilities
Prioritize and drive the technical implementation of projects/work and provide technology strategy and thought leadership.
Create product roadmaps, specifications, scope, and timelines for various projects, including building, scaling, and provisioning cloud infrastructure.
Attract, develop, and retain high performers
Lead the development of tools and frameworks including continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines and automation testing framework.
Create an internal environment of teamwork, sharing, and enthusiasm.
Work closely with Engineering leadership, Product Management and other functions to define a vision for the platform.
Review the environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, and improve overall performance
Great coding abilities, ability to design complex systems, and can help others produce great technical designs as well.Required Skills
Excellent ability to communicate, organize, delegate, and give honest feedback, comfortable collaborating with other engineering managers.
Hands-on working experience with a wide range of AWS services
Prior working experience with CI/CD
Highly proficient with Python, Groovy, Ruby, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, Chef, Linux
Experience with restful services, service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, cloud system (AWS) and micro-services
Knowledgeable about security, networking, and RDBMS/Database technologies (Postgres, MySQL, Redis, Oracle)
Nice to have Jira, Sumo, Windows, Kubernetes, Kafka, Zookeeper, Grafana
Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience building and managing teams
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps
• Experience with CI/CD, Code Coverage and Security tools
• Experience with Agile, Kanban Boards
• Experience with production deployment methodologies including dark mode, blue/green deployments

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
