Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about automation with specific knowledge of cloud-based services as well as on-premise infrastructure. This role will work with local cross-functional teams and globally distributed departments to operate our GoToMeeting product, set up new services and modernize our existing infrastructure, services and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the operation and availability of our SaaS infrastructure, services and applications that are the core to our GoToMeeting product
  • Gain a deep application-level knowledge of the systems and contribute to their IT architecture and design
  • Work together with cross-functional product development teams on new services, drive improvements on the existing infrastructure in our hybrid environment and troubleshoot issues related to application operations and infrastructure
  • Drive automation and productivity efforts to streamline and scale applications in the production environment
  • Collaborate closely with multiple globally distributed teams, be part of local cross-functional project teams and share knowledge and improve quality of practices
  • Work on continuous improvement of our systems, tools and processes and help driving our DevOps culture

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science or an engineering discipline and related work experience
  • Enterprise-level experiences in engineering and operating solutions based on public cloud providers (preferable AWS), container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes,...)
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux system administration and TCP/IP network fundamentals
  • Advanced skills in bash scripting and at least one programming language
  • Background and passion for infrastructure automation, configuration tools and CI/CD solutions and practices (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Harness)
  • Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environments using agile software development principles and interacting with globally distributed teams
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
