Join us as a Health,
Safety and Environment Manager and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role
based in New York, New York (JFK Airport Site).
As an HSE Manager, you
will be responsible for actively supporting an HSE preventive culture together
with the Head of HSE site, managers, and employees. The HSE Manager will collaborate
and participate in the site HSE plan by offering operational support, coaching
on HSE processed, and completing regulatory based activities. In incumbent will
continually improve focus on preventive actions, reduction of injuries, and
promote health and environmentally friendly operations.
Responsibilities:

Implement prevention
programs to address local business risks.

Act as a resource for
the recognition, evaluation and control of risks.

Assist management in the
interpretation and application of legal and Bombardier HSE requirements, ensuring
appropriate record keeping.

Monitor HSE performance
of the site and perform regular checks.

Input and extract key
data from HSE Information Management System.

Coach site management
and employees on key programs such as accident/incident investigations and HSE
risk assessments.

Support deployment of
key HSE behaviors and processes such as HSE Tours, Safety Observations, etc.

Perform internal HSE
Audits and support external HSE Audits, ensuring appropriate record keeping.

Support training plan and
support communication/awareness plan on HSE including working alongside site(s)
safety committees/teams.

Available for 24/7
operation, shift could include overnight and weekend shifts.

Exhibit excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Safety Manager position in the transit industry supervising HSE Specialists.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 certified
- Transit Safety and Security Program (TSSP) Certification or completion of Transit Rail System Safety, Transit Rail Incident Investigation, Transit System Security, Effective Managing Transit Emergencies courses.
- Experience with Safety Management systems such as OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001
