Interested in becoming an associate for the AI Accelerator, powered by Techstars? Techstars Montreal AI Accelerator is the third Techstars accelerator in Canada, and the second with the support of Real Ventures. AI technologies and business applications continue to evolve. Techstars Montreal AI will select startups that advance the development and application of artificial intelligence across all industries and markets.
About the Associates
As an Associate, you will help build the next amazing batch of startups, as they grow from early stage to venture-backed companies. From entrepreneurs to investors, to mentors, your network is about to explode. You will have the opportunity to sit in on mentor meetings – get to know the best entrepreneurs and investors in the city, up close and personally. You will also have access to full involvement in Techstars social events with the founders and the local community.
It’s basically a chance to get an amazing experience, broaden your network in ways you could never imagine, get exposure to some of the greatest up and coming companies and teams in the country. Historically, most associates end up being employed by one of the teams or by someone they met during the span of the three months. Many also go on to build their own companies.
General Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic designer who loves getting involved in many different aspects of design. From graphic design, to UI/UX, and even physical print design, you should be able to assess the needs of the companies and create beautiful and impactful materials. Whether it’s creating unique and memorable logos, pitch decks or presentations, you’ll be consulting with multiple top caliber startups as your clients over the course of the three-month program on their branding and marketing strategy.
Qualifications

• Knowledge that spans visual, graphics and interactive design - brand experience is essential
• Great understanding of content and how to translate it into various visual forms of expression.
• A refined aesthetic sense and can both work inside and expand a company’s vision
• Experience working in an iterative design environment including giving and receiving feedback.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional design experience or BA/BS degree in a related field.
• A drive to get better every single day and are always looking for opportunities to learn.
• A positive outlook, a desire to learn and meet new people, lots of energy and enthusiasm.
• Authorized to work as a contractor in Canada.
• Currently live in Montréal or would be willing to live here for the duration of the program (September - December 2019)
• Bilingual French and English

Description générale du poste
Nous recherchons un designer dynamique qui aime être impliqué dans les différents aspects du design. Du design graphique, UI/UX, ou encore design d’impression, vous devrez être capable de répondre aux besoins des compagnies et créer des contenus impactants. Que ce soit pour créer des logos uniques et mémorables, rédiger des pitchs ou des présentations, vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec plusieurs startups de haut niveau au cours d’un programme de trois mois, à la fois sur leur stratégie de marque et stratégie marketing.
Qualifications

• Connaissances des différents aspects du design visuel, graphique et intéractif d’une marque
• Excellente compréhension du contenu et comment le démultiplier dans diverses formes visuelles d’expression.
• Un sens de l’esthétique raffiné qui peut aller au-delà de la vision de l’entreprise
• Expérience de travail dans un environnement de conception itératif, incluant d’être capable de donner et de recevoir du feedback.
• Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience relevante dans le design ou un diplôme BA/BS dans une filière connexe
• Chercher à s’améliorer chaque jour et être à l’affût de toute opportunité d’apprendre
• Avoir un esprit positif et un désir d’apprendre et de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes, et beaucoup d’enthousiasme !
• Être autorisé à travailler au Canada en tant que travailleur autonome
• Vivre à Montréal ou être disposé à le faire pendant toute la durée du programme (Septembre à Décembre 2019)
