Job Description
Description:This position is in support of the US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Inventory Control Point (ICP). The successful candidate develops supply procedures for all levels of the supply chain. Responsible for all commercial and MILSTRIP procurement. Develops procedures for status follow-up, redistribution and expediting requisitions. Performs market research and analyses based on consumption history to recommend optimum sources of supply. Assures inventory sufficiency with respect to mission requirements by executing range and depth forecast recommendations. Develops cataloging documentation to add items to FLIS. Provides guidance and direction to subcontracting and procurement. Makes and executes inventory decisions to include suppliers, repair facilities, and customer locations, including priority interpretation, inventory allocation and asset redistribution as necessary among sources of supply and CBP operating locations. Able to form partnerships with DLA and other DoD ICPs to optimize their support. Analyzes supply trends and recommends improvements to provide increased support at the lowest cost. Plans, develops and implements customer service functions, physical distribution warehousing, production, general stores and transportation strategies. Establishes and executes policies, programs and procedures to support delivery requirements. Prioritizes workload to support operations tempo. Assists in the creation of proper inventory levels to support inventory and production objectives. Manages all distribution and repair functions and interfaces including order entry, sourcing analysis and follow-up.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• Employment is dependent upon successful DHS background security screen and drug screen.
• Must be able to obtain Security Clearance
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with forecasting techniques such as moving average, seasonally adjusted or single and multiple regressions.
• Experience with supply support and analysis systems and techniques.
• Experience in supply chain deliverables or supply chain management.
• Experience developing and maintaining supply metrics which demonstrate support levels and the health of the supply chain.
• Experience with cataloging processes
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with CBP operational, maintenance and acquisition communities, including U.S. Navy procurement and repair facilities
• Knowledge of CBP information systems including: CARMAC, EMARK, APATS, GFP, ILS, etc.
• Understanding of the management of stock listed and commercial procurement and repairs.
•Understanding of the development and maintenance of bench stocks, maintenance support kits and fly away kits.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical orders and illustrated parts manuals and drawings
• Working knowledge about LM program, engineering, logistics, supply, technical data, support equipment, and training process and procedures
• Experience in ITAR and FAR requirements
• Familiar with subcontract administration and procurement procedures
• Familiarity of Haystack, Fedlog, FLIS, eMall, DAMES, Etc
• Knowledge of DOD MILSTRIP requisition processes and procedures
• Familiarity with NAVSUP and DLA supply management, provisioning, material operations, maintenance and logistics management
