Texas Teacher Certification Scorer - ELA and Reading

Are you a recently retired or part-time ELA and Reading teacher? Do you live in the state of Texas? Do you have a passion for transforming lives through learning?

Pearson is seeking recently retired PK-12 teachers, higher education teacher educators, or part-time educators who possess a valid and current State of Texas teaching license, to work on our ongoing scoring projects as a Texas Educator Certification Scorer in our regional scoring facility located in San Antonio, Texas.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all of the following:

• Have at least three years of experience teaching in English Language Arts and Reading 7-12 in the state of Texas
• Have taught English Language Arts and Reading 7-12 courses in the state of Texas classroom within the past three years
• Available to Score M-F, during the daytime, in our Regional Scoring facility located in San Antonio, Texas

AND

Must meet one of the following:

• Be a PK–12 teacher who holds a valid and current teaching certificate in the state of Texas to teach in English Language Arts and Reading 7–12
• Be an EPP faculty member of a program or teaching courses, approved by the state of Texas, that offers or that are for English Language Arts and Reading program
• Be a National Board Certified Teacher in one of the following:
• Adolescence and Young Adulthood (Ages 14–18 )/English Language Arts
• Early Adolescence (Ages 11–15)/English Language Arts
• Be an educator who has scored the English Language Arts and Reading 7–12 exam within the past 3 years
