PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Data Management and Landscape Transformation (DMLT) team is a global Service Delivery organization within the Board Area Digital Business Services.
We enable our customer’s business to intelligently connect people, data, and processes.
Digitalization and business innovation require companies to adopt new technologies and platforms, such as for example, SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP Leonardo, and Cloud. New business models or changed business requirements often result in the realignment of a company’s business or corporate structure.
All of this gets reflected in various IT-based activities: data migration, data management, data integration, system consolidation, process harmonization and optimization – to name a few.
We, DMLT, offer full solution packages - service/support/product/tools – for this, starting from early customer engagement with strategy and roadmap definition, solution architecture, project management, consulting and project execution. The service portfolio ranges from short term engagements to long-term customer projects.
Due to our key role in enabling our customers to transition into the digital economy by adopting SAP’s new technologies and platforms, we are growing and are significantly evolving our service & solution portfolio. To facilitate this strategy, we are looking for professionals in all areas of SAP systems with a strong architectural, functional and/or development background.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a DMLT Consultant, your job will involve working in a global team focusing on international customer projects in all regions to realize planned data conversions and migrations in productive applications and landscapes. The applications in scope here SAP BW and SAP BW/4 HANA.

The main tasks include:
• Conducting feasibility studies and system analyses (supported by SAP DMLT products and tools) to scope and plan the required solution approach to support customers
• Engaging with customers to identify customer needs, and to design the appropriate solution proposal
• Facilitating workshops and discussions
• Delivering BW and BW/4 HANA transformation projects remotely and on site in close collaboration with people in different roles and locations, and with different areas and levels of expertise (for example, customer engagement lead, developers, product owners, solution architects, or support engineers)
• Maintaining trustful relationships with people, both externally on customer/partner side and internally
• Contributing to DMLT solution development and standardization (service and software)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

We are looking for a Consultant with the following profile:

• Final degree (e.g. business administration, psychology, economics, computer sciences) or equivalent work experience
• Good knowledge on SAP BW and SAP BW/4 HANA technology & architecture and respective business process understanding, as well as ABAP programming skills are strong assets
• Good SAP HANA database administration and SAP HANA native/platform/optimization knowledge are strong assets
• Knowledge of SAP LT or other BW transformation software is an advantage
• Fluent in English is mandatory
• Very good communication skills across all hierarchy levels, both internally and externally
• Presentation and facilitation skills are a strong asset (e.g. visualization techniques, Design Thinking, etc.)
• Project management skills, and project work experience is an asset
• High affinity to SAP technology and SAP consulting
• Ability to drive execution within own area of responsibility, and to align cross-topic objectives & approaches

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ work experience in SAP BW (e.g. as a functional consultant with technical skills (SAP data model, ABAP))
• Work experience related business process knowledge between SAP ERP and SAP BW is a strong asset.
• Experience in team work, in customer interaction, and in international projects.
