Manufacturing Apprenticeship – Manufacturing Technician Apprentice

This is an exciting opportunity to undertake an Engineering Apprenticeship with a team of like-minded people, working on some of the most cutting edge technologies and products offered by Thales UK today. This three-year apprenticeship will suit those candidates who are serious about committing to their learning and development.
Upon successful completion this apprentice position will lead to recognition and classification as a skilled technician.
All apprentices will complete a common first year in manufacturing operations which will include work-based learning to develop the skills necessary to achieve performance levels in the production of components and assemblies (consistent with the required quality standards and the Master Production Schedule).
It is anticipated that during the second and third year apprentices will define their core skills area within the spectrum of manufacturing activities. The skill areas anticipated to be required are electrical/mechanical assembly and manufacturing machining. Skill definition will be based on performance during your first year, and matched to the business requirements at that time.

Who we’re looking for
You must be self-motivated, self-disciplined, reliable and responsible with an ability to assimilate information quickly. You must also possess a high degree of integrity, be a good team member and be committed to an ethos of continuous improvement. All applicants should be enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in achieving an Apprenticeship with Thales.
The job holder must commit to obtaining a Level three Apprenticeship in Mechatronics within a three-year period.
