More than 300 customers leverage the Fieldglass solution to gain visibility into their external workforces, including contingent labour, services managed through Statements of Work and independent contractors while optimizing spend, quality, compliance and efficiency. Senior Project Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
The SAP Fieldglass Project Manager contributes to customer success through effective oversight of customer engagement, acting as the voice and champion of the customer throughout the delivery phase of the engagement. Responsible for oversight and accountable for project team and the delivery of project outcomes. Typical responsibilities and / or accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver and Advise on the best delivery approach and governance for complex and/or multi country and/or multi-phase implementations
- Lead project scoping activities and contribute to realistic resource estimations for internal and external resources as well as contribute to scoping for consulting services engagements
- Educate and guide internal, customer and third-party stakeholders on effective implementation and adoption strategies, including how best to optimise external workforce programmes, and derive value, with SAP Fieldglass
- Build and maintain senior level relationships with customers, partners and SAP cross-functional teams to ensure that projects and programmes are delivered to cost, quality and time objectives
- Own quality of implementation and produce, review and critique project documentation to establish baseline controls, progress reporting and risk and issue management
- Ensure project activities/expenditure is tracked and managed in relation to project budgetary constraints and commercial agreements
- Ensure a robust handover from Sales to Delivery, including oversight of commercial agreements and adherence to SAP compliance procedures and standards
- Provide advice and guidance to Project Managers, as required, to ensure project quality standards and stakeholder expectations are met
- Establish and contribute to governance steering committees to ensure projects and programmes have appropriate oversight and mechanisms to agree corrective actions when required – including internal steering committees when customer transformation programmes encompass several SAP products
In this role you will be leading and engaging in a range of activities to ensure the successful implementation and end-user adoption of SAP Fieldglass solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Design, deliver and lead customer-facing workshops to confirm strategic goals and objectives, high level system architecture, project approach, scope, roadmap planning
- Provide sound consultation to customers on leading practices, solution adoption and operational programme planning
- Engage in internal activities, knowledge sharing sessions and educational forums to develop a deep understanding of the SAP product portfolio and the business problems certain products and features aim to solve
- Engage in internal training to keep abreast of new features and functionality delivered through SAP Fieldglass product roadmap releases
- Provide consultation on customer-centric workstreams, such as testing (e.g. sequencing UAT with System Integration Testing and regression testing) and change management (training and communications)
- Be accountable for project management duties and routines either by managing directly or with assigned project resource, maintain logs (e.g. risk log, issue log etc.) and create and maintain high quality project documentation in line with SAP delivery standards
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Full proficiency in the German and English language - any other language is desirable
- Expert knowledge of the project lifecycle, project and programme management methodologies and techniques for high quality delivery
- A recognised project management qualification – PMP is highly desirable – or significant experience to demonstrate an equivalent level of competency
- Demonstrable experience of leading large high risk, complex, multi-phase or high-profile projects to time, cost and quality objectives
- Proven track record of successful project delivery, including financial planning and budget management (ideally from a customer perspective)
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the credibility to command respect and provide a high level of consultation to partners and customers (as the ‘trusted advisor’)
- Highly organised self-starter with the ability to multi-task, prioritise in a fast-paced environment and motivate project teams to achieve goals
- Strong working knowledge of collaborative project management tools for controlling, monitoring and reporting
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with third parties, such as Systems Integrators and Managed Service providers
Desirable:
- Experience in developing and/or supporting business case development in the context of contingent worker programmes
- Proven track record of managing C-Suite level stakeholders, with the ability to communicate effectively to reach agreement in challenging situations, and manage escalated risks and issues
- Demonstrable strong partnerships and network of colleagues across multiple SAP cloud organisations, including but not limited to S/4 HANA, SAP Ariba, and SAP SuccessFactors
- Hands-on experience in external, contingent, or temporary workforce management and/or total workforce management, e.g. as a Project Manager or Operational Manager
- Solid understanding of several industries or Lines or Business, including a broad understanding of the SAP product and solution portfolio, industry trends and innovations
