Job Description

The Data Analytics Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams.

This position provides the opportunity for (1) a significant involvement in Citi’s future financial architecture; (2) interaction with representatives from all businesses as well as legal entity controllers, and collaboration with Finance & Risk Shared Services (FRSS) staff members in Tampa, Costa Rica, Mumbai and Manila.

Responsibilities:

• Provide governance over enterprise-wide financial and management reporting account standards
• Collaborate with various businesses and cross-functional groups to design and implement global financial and management reporting structures
• Maintain and enhance the enterprise wide Performance Measurement Framework (PMF) chart of accounts (Pearl accounts, FDLs, Full Suite SGLs and Global P2Ps) used for external/financial and management reporting
• Review, approve and implement all change requests related to PMF chart of accounts. Co-ordinate with the FRSS group for the execution and communication of these changes
• Assist in the implementation of new external disclosure requirements related to reports filed with the SEC (including form 10K and 10Q), OCC, Federal Reserves, and other regulators
• Review existing account maintenance process, identify and improve areas of inefficiency
• Support implementation of Finance owned Data standards in global strategic platforms
• Reconcile data between Citi’s financial reporting systems (FRS/Pearl) and contract warehouse (GENESIS), investigate and resolve financial data quality issues
• Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
• Mines and analyzes data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services industry preferred
• Bi-lingual skills (English / Spanish) highly desired
• Intermediate to strong knowledge of US GAAP, familiar with US regulatory reporting framework and internal management reporting practices
• Familiar with financial reporting systems and processes, as well as product processors and general ledger systems
• Self-motivated and detail oriented, able to work independently
• Strong analytical skills and ability to draw up action plans
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate to advance knowledge in Excel
• Experience with IFW (Inquiry Framework) is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
