Description
The primary role of the New Product Implementation Coordinator is to be responsible for coordinating the execution of and streamlining New Product Implementation (NPI) systems utilizing the Danaher Development System. The NPI Coordinator is responsible for leading the material compression events throughout the development process and coordinating with the purchasing team on providing a supply chain solution and strategy for all new parts. In addition, the NPI Coordinator supports product development by assigning new part numbers, generating BOMs, generating ECOs, generating product structures and obtaining parts approvals for new and existing components, assemblies and products. Essential Functions:
  • Leads material compression events throughout the development life cycle to assure supply chains are developed and transitioned to purchasing for all new part numbers.
  • Responsible for negotiating and ordering parts for breadboard, model, prototype and some pilot parts as part of the New Product Implementation process.
  • Responsible for supporting purchasing in developing and coordinating supply chains for all new activated parts and existing parts with significant volume changes.
  • Create part numbers, BOM’s, kit-to-orders, spec sheets, ECO’s and other documentation as required for the release and activation of new components, assemblies and products.
  • Generates product structures and other documentation as needed, including electronic component BOM’s and kits.
  • Works with manufacturing planners and facilitators to plan and implement, model and prototype build cycles.
  • Participates in technical documentation design reviews, PDR’s, CDR’s, Manufacturing readiness reviews.
  • Supports project leaders in other project administrative activities including but not limited to tracking CAR spend, project inventory spend, internal orders, marketing support, data mining, and beta and alpha test material coordination.
  • New part implementation change control process
Other Non-Essential Functions:
  • Pursues continuous improvement activities that lead to the attainment of departmental new product development cycle goals.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
  • 2-year technical degree with 5 years of supply chain management or equivalent, comparable experience or
  • Four-year business or technical degree with 0 to 2 years’ experience
