Position Description

Ariba Product Support Engineering team supports clients, provides third line technical support for Ariba’s enterprise software products. Our team would be responsible for ensuring the success of our customers by effectively providing dependable and timely resolution to all product related technical issues. The Support Engineer will also work with the Ariba Engineering, Solutions Management, and Hosting Operations teams to resolve complex software issues while identifying product defects, enhancements, and limitations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The primary function of the Engineer is to provide dependable and timely resolution for complex software issues related to the Ariba product area.
  • Demonstrates competency with the full suite of SAP Ariba Solutions, understanding and proficiency of procurement business process and integration topics.
  • Build partnerships with customers to proactively deliver expertise and improve customer value of SAP Ariba solutions.
  • Provide on-call support during evenings and weekends as required by a rotational schedule.
  • Act as a customer advocate by working directly with customers on high priority issues to deliver timely resolution and capture customer feedback to influence process/product improvements.

Role Requirements

  • Engineering Graduate with minimum 3 to 8 years of Ariba experience. The Engineer must be flexible to work in shifts.
  • Ariba Upstream techno-functional experience is a must. Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba Supplier Management solutions is preferred.
  • Understanding of object-oriented methodologies, SQL and programming in Java. In-depth understanding of cloud technologies and related aspects of life cycle management is a must.
  • The Engineer must focus on customer service and communication and also have knowledge to interface with 3rd party vendors and internal technical teams to drive issues to resolution.
  • Good problem solving, organizational, analytical skills, time management and prioritization skills. Utilize available time efficiently in order to achieve effective and efficient results and ability to capture a complete and accurate problem/symptom description of reported issues.
