Description

Pantone LLC, a division of X-Rite, a Danaher Company, has an excellent opportunity for a Textile Production Coordinator in our Carlstadt, New Jersey facility.
Pantone has been the world leader in color communication and specification for over fifty years. Pantone’s products and services are used by designers and manufacturers in many industries – from graphic design and print to apparel and product design – to ensure accurate color from inspiration to realization.

The Textile Production Coordinator is expected to:

Perform weekly machine calibrations at beginning of week
* Create the dyeing schedule for the day using MRP if the schedule has not been completed already.
* Schedule dyeing batches in Orgatex.
* Perform standard work audits of team members to make sure they are performing their job properly and following standard work. Train team members on new procedures put into place, and gauge feedback on sustainment of procedures.
* Schedule and complete monthly cycle counts of raw materials used in the production area.
* Provide lab with sufficient fabric for lab dyeing by slitting fabric with slitter device.
* Conduct shift changeover meetings and discuss any issues that may arise
* Open new MO’s, and close out approved or rejected MO’s with correct quantity.
* Drive to root cause of issues using the PSP process.
* Perform Machine Operator tasks when needed. Which include:
* Loading and unloading of textile dyeing machines
* Cut and sew fabric utilized for specific jobs.

Extraction of fabric, fabric drying and cutting samples of recently dyed colors.
* Learn all aspects of the dyeing cycle from start to finish.
* Weigh dyes and Chemicals for dyeing of colors.
* Perform heavy lifting; up to 50 lbs.
* Maintain a clean work area.
* Perform daily and weekly preventative maintenance on machines on platform.
* Be flexible with new workflows and change management; live the concept of continuous improvement
* Assist in cycle counting
* Strong attention to detail

Job Requirements
Qualifications

High School Diploma
* At least three years of Machine Operator and Supervisor Experience
* Strong Computer Skills: Excel / Microsoft office
* Mapics, Orgatex +
* Some Mechanical Experience Required
* Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required.
