The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-level Versatile Technologist (Windows System Admin) to join the Training & Professional Services IT group in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role you are an integral part of the Boeing team developing hardware and software solutions for our defense customers, and will be supporting proprietary Statement-of-Work (SOW) including classified areas.

Position Responsibilities:

• Installation and integration of Windows operating systems and related COTS products
• Development of PowerShell and Linux scripts to enable consistent, high-quality integration of hardware assets
• Evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution
• Integration of security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
• Administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements
• Troubleshooting operating system and installation problems
• Supporting architecture design studies for technology implementation
• Maintaining awareness of and participating in the planning and execution of upgrades and patches for operating systems and COTS software
• Architect, install, and administer storage, backup, and network infrastructure needs (NetApp, SolarWinds, BackupExec, etc)
• Create and maintain multiple virtual servers based on VMWare
• On-site, in-person hardware installation, cabling, and configuration. This may include traveling to Navy/customer sites
• The new team member will be paired with a mentor who will help them acclimate to the position
• 25% Travel

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements).
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Windows Server
• Installation and troubleshooting experience with one or more of the following: Splunk, ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) or HBSS, SolarWinds
• Experience with writing PowerShell or other scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
• Hardware installation and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• CompTIA Server+ certified (or similar)
• Linux RHEL 7 or higher experience
• Experience troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPO)
• Architecture, design, and installation/support experience with Cisco-backed networks.
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe practices, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning

Typical Education/Experience (management does not have this):

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
