We are looking for an experience Electro Mechanical Packaging Designer for Glider Processor and Subassembly Power Distribution CCA on the Air Force Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) glide vehicle program.
Candidate will be the packaging designer for new Glider Safety Critical and Glider Test Interface Printed Wiring Board/Circuit Card Assemblies. Design work will also include being part of the Electro Mechanical Engineering team also responsible for the complex electronics chassis and cable harnesses within the ARRW Mission Control Unit within the Glider. Full understanding of IPC Class 3 Quality Standards are a must. Candidate will work closely with System Requirements, Electrical Engineering Designer, EPCAD, Thermal, Structural, Dynamics Lab, Manufacturing, Quality and Supplier and other cross functional team to produce Concept and Implementation under a tight schedule.
Communication skills are key with the designer expected to leverage from existing internal designs and tailor the concept/implementation to Program specific needs.
The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of electro-mechanical design experience. Candidate should have proficiency with Pro/E Creo and Windchill or equivalent 3D modeling software (CATIA, Solidworks etc.) and the desire to learn and grow. Ability to present to management and technical teams is highly desirable.
Hardware ElectroMechanical packaging design engineer will be responsible for the hardware development for missile and/or fire control electronics: specifically printed wiring board (PWB) and circuit card assembly (CCA) design as well as general packaging support. Activity will require cross functional coordination to complete PWB/CCA hardware design and integration for the designated weapon system. General qualifications: Researches, develops, and designs component, equipment, and networks for military applications. Candidate must have experience CCA and PWB design as well as the associated components and connectors.

Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Proficient with Pro-E and/or Creo or other 3D software (such as Catia, Solidworks, etc)
- Requires 5 or more years of electro-mechanical design experience of airborne avionics, missile and/or ground-based equipment. Design experience should include chassis, electro-mechanical assembly, electrical cable and/or network design.
Desired Skills:
- Possession of a DoD Secret Level clearance is highly desirable.
- Possession of a DoD Interim Level clearance is desirable.
- Working knowledge of printed wiring board and surface mount technologies is desired.
- Working knowledge of military and/or industry hardware specifications is desired
