Who You'll Work With

You will work in our Waltham, MA office as part of the Security Operations center and in collaboration with fellow forensics analysts, security analysts and other IT security specialists. The Security Operations center (SOC) is McKinsey’s, internal security monitoring, detection and response organization tasked with the detection and response to threats on our network. The SOC is a 24/7 organization with teams in different geographical zones to ensure continuous operations and coverage of security monitoring, detection and response.

What You'll Do

You'll manage day-to-day eDiscovery operations to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of eDiscovery services, including those related to the preservation, collection, search, review and production of data for legal and compliance matters.As a litigation support analyst, you'll work both collaboratively and independently to accomplish a variety of electronic discovery tasks as well as eDiscovery related projects. You’ll also contribute to the oversight and execution of eDiscovery process improvements to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and to meet existing and future demands.Additionally, you will work with other global eDiscovery service and technology team members, including in-house and outside counsel, compliance officers, privacy and security specialists, information technology partners and external service providersYou'll serve as a subject matter expert on eDiscovery topics and will provide consultation on Early Case Assessment, Forensic Collections, Culling and Filtering, ESI Processing, Indexing, Document Review, Document Production, Data Archival and Storage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s required or Master's degree preferred in (IT/Computer Science or Service-Management is preferred
  • 2+ years experience in eDiscovery, data analysis, and/or forensic analysis
  • Strong process management background with a keen interest in process development
  • Expertise to manage SOPs, process adherence by teams & an eye for continuous improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, coordinate and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • In-depth Knowledge of the eDiscovery lifecycle and related data processing standards and concepts, including, without limitation, data processing, data de-duplication, imaging, metadata extraction, load files, and data migration across eDiscovery platforms.
  • Experience performing ESI collection of relevant material and performing complex searches and creating, modifying, and exporting data within litigation support
  • Strong technical background, and past Experience performing complex eDiscovery collections and searches, create workspaces and templates, designs workflows appropriate for data sets, and provides consultative support on best practices
  • Understanding of Data Indexing techniques, knowledge of indexing and search engines.
  • Proven knowledge handling multiple operating systems (Windows,UNIX, Linux, etc.) and various Databases including SQL, Oracle
  • Knowledge of Cloud-based systems like Azure, AWS includes cloud-hosted Applications, technologies, and methodologies.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, Windows Servers, Linux systems, MS Exchange, IBM Domino
  • Experience with Enterprise Messaging Systems (EMS), like Microsoft Exchange or IBM Domino.
  • In-depth knowledge of archival email systems messaging systems, system administration, and system architecture expertise is preferred
  • Previous experience on eDiscovery products like ZL unified archival suite or any other third-party eDiscovery suites and systems is a plus.
  • Experience with keyword-search and basic SQL query building preferred.
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
