As the Senior Material Handler, you receive and store ready-to-sell finished goods and inventory and replenish pick and overflow locations as needed. You process all International and Domestic customer orders through the picking, confirmation, and packaging operation. You will collaborate at times with other areas outside the department. You will perform other diversified job tasks as needed (cycle counts, projects, etc.).
Your Key Responsibilities:
• Fill International and Domestic customer orders for finished goods by picking parts from flow racks/cabinets/shelving units.
• Pack completed orders, check accuracy of parts, and prepare them for shipment.
• Place in boxes, and place in appropriate area for checking and packing.
• Pack items in proper container (bags or boxes, based on appropriate packing procedures) and check order for correctness, including placement of labels and shipping information.
• Complete paperwork as necessary for data processing.
• Perform inventory control duties such as receiving verifying and stocking all finish good products.
• Re-stock packing station as necessary from surplus area.
• Participate in cycle counts and other related inventory responsibilities as needed.
• Collaborate with other Distribution employees and perform other special projects or related duties as required.
• Cross-train and work in all areas of DELIVER organization, helping in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
• Support all activities required for a successful annual physical inventory.
• Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to one's job, and keep the highest levels of integrity, ethics and compliance always.
• Diligently participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor, compliance or senior staff leadership.
• Facilitate communication to associates and work within a Credo-based environment under the direction of leadership.
• Ensure correct policies and guidelines are followed to maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate policies (Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards, etc.).
• Support a safe environment through good housekeeping practices and anticipating and solving emerging situations, as well as reporting all work-related injuries and safety issues.
Qualifications
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent degree required
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience required
• Warehouse, shipping, and/or inventory control experience preferred
• Experience with Census Bureau, US Department of Transportation, US Customs, and Import/Export regulations preferred
• Experience and understanding of export processes or documentation required when exporting goods preferred
• Medical Device industry experience is helpful
• FDA/GMP Regulatory or Quality Assurance experience is a plus
• Familiarity with the Census Bureau’s Automated System (AES) preferred
• Basic knowledge of Windows and MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel) preferred
• Functional knowledge of JD Edwards and DSI hand-held scanners is preferred
• Requires capability of becoming Forklift/ Cherry Picker Certified; current certification is helpful
• High attention to detail, initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to perform simple math, count accurately, read and write legibly, and type
• Requires ability to perform the physical requirements and repetitive tasks (e.g., stand/walk/bend/twist/squat, occasional use of ladders, etc.) within a warehouse environment where temperatures may vary, and quarters may be close
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted on a repetitive basis and occasionally 40lbs unassisted required
• Requires ability to work 10:00AM-6:30PM and to flexibly work alternate schedules, overtime, and weekends, depending on business needs
