Our Technology department is revolutionising the way people interact with food online every day by exploring new channels, such as voice-controlled ordering and virtual reality. Our team also collaborates with other internal departments to make sure our products and tech are tailor made from top insights and industry expertise.

Just Eat is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Business Analyst to join the Business Analysis Department.

The successful analyst will be joining a supportive and motivated team and we are looking for an autonomous and committed individual who will help further our efforts to promote best business analysis practices across Just Eat.

Key Responsibilities

• You’ll be working closely with developers, quality analysts and user experience designers to ensure that user stories are complete, clear, concise and comprehensible and all supporting documentation is linked and dependencies specified. Propose and collect quantitative and qualitative backing as required
• You’ll ensure that stories are prioritised, influencing priority according to technical and business dependencies
• You’ll drive collaboration to ensure shared understanding of requirements and solutions across the teams and stakeholders in all impacted teams and departments
• You’ll Identify process changes that may be required elsewhere within the business as a result of a new implementation, drived process re-engineering and facilitate adoption of new processes within the affected areas
• You’ll work with the Product Manager and UX to carry out analysis for discovery work
• Establishe how to best support the Product Manager in translating complex business needs into benefits, defining the scope of the project and ensuring scope meets the product vision
• You’ll Work closely with the Product Manager on stakeholder engagement activities
• You’ll proactively find innovative ways to promote the Business Analyst function within technology and throughout the business
• You’ll actively participate in the BA community, sharing learnings and identifies areas for contributions
• You’ll provide mentoring and coaching to less experienced Business Analysts in the department, and may take the analysis lead on more complex projects with multiple Business Analysts
• You’ll assist with the recruitment process for Business Analysts, and provides insight and recommendations to the allocation of Business Analysts within the department and may provide some line management to a small number of Business Analysts

Required skills and experience

You’re the right person if:

• You understand and use a range of techniques for eliciting and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
• You have a good understanding of a range of Agile delivery methodologies and implement team process improvements and share successful changes with other teams in the department
• You have an understanding of the technology being used across your domain of expertise, and are able to communicate this as required to non-technical stakeholders
• You have a good understanding of the commercial drivers and may help to influence the direction of the product vision. Are able to communicate these to the team and relevant stakeholders in the absence of the Product Manager
• You work independently, taking the initiative and may work on a team without a dedicated Product Manager
• You are a domain expert with the ability to identify cross-team and cross-departmental dependencies and synergies. You work with teams and Product Managers to prioritise work accordingly
• You continue to improve the core BA skill-set and expands knowledge of other disciplines with support and guidance

You have subject matter expertise in own discipline and a good knowledge of at least one other discipline
