Schwab’s Apprenticeship Program is a great career starter, setting a foundation for further growth and development within the company. This program is open to students enrolled and on-track to earn their Bachelor’s Degree.

The Apprenticeship Program will begin on June of 2020 in our Indianapolis, IN location and will be full-time for 8-10 weeks before transitioning to part-time work (10-20 hours/week) as classes resume in the fall.

Your team manager and assigned mentor will act as a dedicated coach along with colleagues and internal business partners to support you in further developing your business acumen and product knowledge.

What you’re good at

As a Schwab Apprentice, you will support our clients by building trust and inspiring confidence through exceptional service, one connection at a time. Additionally, you will:

• Complete a mix of instructor led classroom training (full-time) in your first 2 months and on-the-job learning (OJL) throughout the year
• Gain knowledge of the fascinating world of financial services and the unique position Schwab has in the industry
• Perform in a fast paced, inbound contact center environment
• Practice active listening and open ended dialogue, to gain a thorough understanding of client financial needs
• Care enough to ask the difficult questions knowing that just one question, the right question, can change a client’s future
• Resolve client issues by leveraging technology and business experts within Schwab to identify efficient and effective methods to meet client goals
• Build a working partnership with an assigned mentor who is engaged in helping you meet your career goals

What you have

• Successful completion of our candidate assessment which measures potential talent and role fit
• Ability to establish rapport with clients over the phone to create long term relationships with Schwab
• Passion to develop a meaningful career within financial services
• Desire to work in a collaborative team based culture
• Ability to adapt and implement changes as market and business conditions evolve
