The Role:

As a Sr. Program Manager for WMS on the Distribution Strategy & Execution team, you will be responsible for WMS solution roadmap and delivery for Service Parts Distribution Centers with multiple dimensions – (1) evolution of distribution systems capability and functionality in alignment with overall Distribution Strategy (2) deploy and stabilize across multiple sites and (3) homogenize multiple business units starting with Service Parts Distribution.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive development and capability scale up of WMS from concept to delivery.

• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and drive solutions with all internal & external stakeholders through all stages of the WMS program.

• Translate business requirements to drive objectives and timelines for all major stakeholders – IT Applications Development, Distribution Operations, and Distribution Process Engineering.

• Define MVP and successive phases, prepare appropriate documentation including process flow diagramming, value stream mapping, scenario and sensitivity testing.

• Track and improve UAT performance, delivery performance and quality and user impact.

• Organize teams, assign and manage objectives, drive change management, and transition distribution operations from existing systems and processes to WMS.

• Hold internal and external project members accountable for their commitments, milestones, resources, and deliverables and ensuring that objectives are met.

• Anticipate, proactively identify, document and manage key program risks and resource constraints, propose appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.

• Document and communicate objectives, plans, status, issues and risks in a timely manner to team members, stakeholders and senior management.

• Ensure that WMS is delivered on time with high quality, within budget, and in accordance with stated business and technical objectives.

• Apply technical expertise from past experience in distribution operations, processes, and systems deployments.

• Design and execute a detailed and complex choreography of transitioning a site from legacy systems to new WMS while minimizing disruption to day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or relevant experience.

• Strong experience in launching and managing off-the-shelf WMS from Manhattan, JDA, HighJump etc. or homegrown WMS is a must; preferably in a retail distribution/fulfilment environment.

• Strong experience and familiarity with SDLC for supply chain business systems like LMS, TMS, ERP, and MHE systems with Pick-to-Light, Pick-to-Voice, Conveyor and Sorter systems etc.

• Ability to communicate objectives, plans, status and results clearly, focusing on critical few key points.

• Solutions orientated, with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions.

• Excellent project management skills, leadership presence with demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment, and ability to influence at all levels.

• Ability to intuitively gauge a project’s scope and the team’s ability to execute well.

• Proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful implementation
