Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc seeks a Project Principal Consultant at our Pittsburgh, PA location (and various client sites nationwide) responsible for projects throughout their lifecycle

Expectations and Tasks:

Responsible for defining, planning, tracking and overseeing the project, for identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order meeting project objectives. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget and project quality criteria. Ensure adherence to project management methodology practices, provide team coaching, evaluate the performance of team members and reinforce the enterprise knowledge management through the collection and communication of lessons learned. Assist during the Opportunity Management Phase of the customer engagement by providing input into the proposal or completing specific proposal deliverables - especially in the area of delivery model, project structure, organization, scoping, estimation and risk assessment. Participate in projects that require coordination of work between various parties like third party sub-contractors, SAP Custom Development, SAP Global Consulting Delivery, SLO, Cloud Delivery (including HEC),CoE, and SAP Support organization. 40% travel to various client sites nationwide.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field of study and 7 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.

Work Experience:

Experience must include 5 years in the following: SAP processes and business workflow with certification in SAP Solution Manager 7.2; participate in various project workstreams related to areas such as PO/PI, BoBJ, Custom WRICEF, SLO, and Data Migration; perform review estimates and clearly define estimate assumptions for the project's schedule, effort and cost using established models and best practices; facilitate full-cycle, SAP S/4 ERP implementations including System Integration; integrating cloud and on-premise S/4 ERP with other core SAP modules such as SAP Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management (IM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Project Systems (PS); S/4; SAP Activate project deployment methodology; project management across areas such as forecasting, budget management, complete-to-contract, schedule tracking, project quality auditing, and scope/contract compliance. PMI Certified PMP. 40% travel to various client sites nationwide
