Role Overview

This position is for a Seasoned Quality Compliance professional. Works as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of responsibility. May manage Quality Compliance processes and/or projects. Uses experience and knowledge to influence processes, standards, and plans to improve compliance with internal and external standards.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and issue Form FAA 8130-3 - Authorized Release Certificate, Airworthiness Approval Tags or equivalent forms for Production and/or Repair Station
• Perform conformities, inspections and other quality roles in accordance with the Quality Management System and other applicable customer and regulatory requirements
• Perform role as primary or secondary interface with regulatory agencies and/or customer compliance/regulatory departments
• Analyzes and makes recommendations for procedures and metrics that support compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• Provides research and explanations of policies, government regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure compliance with external standards.
• Implements minimum standards, tools, and methods to ensure the effectiveness of existing quality processes and sustain quality performance improvements.
• Conducts quality compliance audit processes and recommends corrective actions and process improvements in response to audit findings.
• Reviews procedures and metrics that impact quality and makes recommendations to improve compliance with internal standards.
• Performs product and process audits and quality audits and reviews.
• Reviews quality data and determines if all products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards.
• Recommends corrective actions and process reengineering.
• Prepares and maintains Quality documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

Anyone that has any of the following Aerospace Regulatory Requirements is desired but not required:

• DAR= Designated Airworthiness Representative
• EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency
• ODA - Boeing European Union Aviation Safety Agency
• ODA - Gulfstream Organization Designation Authorization Gulfstream
• ITC - International Trade Compliance
• ITAR - International Traffic in Arms Regulations
• EAR - Export Administration Regulations
• AS9100 – Understanding / Certified Auditor preferred, but not necessary
