This software engineering internship position is within the Simulation & Training Solutions (STS) business area. STS develops and builds simulators and training systems for both military and commercial customers. Devices range in complexity from desktop training all the way up to high fidelity weapon system and full-flight training systems including full visual motion and simulator interoperability (HLA/DIS).

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and interact in a multi-functional, multi-discipline, and diverse development team
  • Assist in development high level software specifications
  • Design, develop, implement, test, and debug real time, multi-threaded, multiprocessing software applications and associated user interfaces
  • Support and enhance existing software products as necessary

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must demonstrate an ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines; possess exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrate organizational skills and focus on detail; show self-motivation, self-direction, ability to work independently, and a commitment to continuous improvement of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Desired Qualifications Include:

  • Working knowledge of conventional code development (C, C++, Python, etc.), model based design (Simulink, MATLAB, etc.) and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
