Actelion is a leader in the field of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Our portfolio of PAH treatments covers the spectrum of disease, from WHO Functional Class (FC) II through to FC IV, with oral, inhaled and intravenous medications.
The Payer/Provider Analytics Manager is responsible for providing key national, regional and account level payer/provider analytics that improve Actelion Brand performance. This role also uses SPP data to provide insights that impact brand fulfilment and persistency strategies. In this role, you will:
- Elevate and improve brand access performance reports to establish baseline payer understanding at all levels of the organization to ensure market access is at the forefront of brand strategy
- Develop local-level payer and provider pull through opportunities to maximize access and capitalize on competitive differentiation
- Lead comprehensive analysis of patient access and affordability to enable and inform brand fulfillment & persistency strategies, using SPP data
- Collaborate with Forecasting Team to incorporate payer specific assumptions into all Brand forecast BPs, via GTN, MARR, and refined Access Forecast
- Collaborate with Actelion HUB Analytics Managers, CIS and Data Management Teams to synthesize performance insights/trends from SPP data

Required
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred
- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in marketing analytics managed markets analytics, finance, or related healthcare experience or 2 years with an advanced degree is required; 6 years preferred
- Strong working knowledge of US Managed Markets (e.g. managed care utilization management processes, typical contracting terms and approaches) is required
- Confirmed analytical and problem-solving skills is required
- Excellent quantitative analytics skills including organizing, integrating and analyzing complex data sources, and drawing cohesive conclusions
- Proficient in use of presentation/visualization tools (Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau)
- Effective communication with both technical teams and business functions including written communication, such a writing business and technical requirements.
- Ability to influence all levels of the organization and to engage across a broad range of business partners and functions
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Consistent record of high performance, innovative approaches to quantitative analysis, and ability to multi-task.

- This position is based on San Francisco, CA and will require up to 20% travel
Preferred
- Hands-on experience writing SQL queries
- Familiarity with managed care access KPIs
- Expertise analyzing secondary claims data in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g. IQVIA, Symphony Health, DRG Managed Markets, MMIT) is preferred
- Prior experience leading effective project teams
- Proficient use of advanced data processing software (i.e. SAS Enterprise Minor, SAS Enterprise Guide, MS Access, SQL, or similar tools) is preferred
- Previous experience with patient HUB data
