The Controller’s Group is looking for a senior accountant to support the general month-end close cycle, assist with preparation of journal entries, monthly financial statements and preparation of profit & loss and balance sheet analytics. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, well versed in Excel, and quick to learn new processes.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close process, such as the timely preparation of journal entry and supporting documentation, reconciling intercompany activity and accounting for internally-developed software.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statement
• Prepare variance analysis and detailed commentary for P&L and balance sheet
• Maintain detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• Assist with reporting requirements and requests from Xandr’s parent company, AT&T
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Document policies and procedures and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and internal standard policies and procedures and where applicable, recommend changes to streamline processes and policies to maintain and strengthen compliance
• Assist with ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with accounting for internally-developed software
• In-depth understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end and year-end close process
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to troubleshoot and address issues
• Excellent attention to detail and desire to accurately report financial results
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Self-motivated and ability to work well with others
• Advanced MS Excel skills including vlookup and sumif formulas and pivot tables
