Job Role: Microsoft Azure & Office 365 Pre-Sales Specialist

Dell Technologies is one of the largest global partners of Microsoft. This partnership helps Dell to provide end to end technology solutions to its customers. The CSG Partner Software BU leads the alliance with Microsoft and other leading software OEMs. To further enhance our partnership with Microsoft, we are looking to hire a Microsoft Cloud pre-sales specialist. The chosen candidate will be expected to work closely with customers to help them identify and adopt Microsoft Cloud technologies, often in combination with Dell technologies and solutions.

Supports field sales teams and large customer opportunities. Focuses on Microsoft Cloud technologies such as Azure and Office 365. Assists in selling activities and positioning of the same. Provides in-depth expertise for Microsoft Cloud technologies. Delivers technical presentations to sales teams with the purpose of increasing their knowledge base to drive greater demand. Delivers technical presentations to customers to act as a technical expert and consultant to deliver solutions. Develops a keen understanding of customer needs and links them to Microsoft cloud technologies and solutions. May identify additional sales opportunities with existing customers. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May demonstrate feasibility of a technology or a solution, often requiring a product demo for client. Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Cloud platforms like Azure and Office 365.

Focuses majority of time on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365. Provides subject matter information to sales team and assists in the formation of a subject matter expert team to assure that specific knowledge is disseminated across the entire customer team. Responsible for supporting a specific client/enterprise solution sales efforts through consultative selling activities and presenting to external customers. Provides guidance on appropriate technologies and customers’ business requirements to sales teams. Works with minimal direction guided by sales and business objectives of the BU. Updates management on status of engagements with customers.

Our Product Technologists play an essential role in creating technologies that drive human progress. Using our in-depth technology solutions knowledge, we provide pre-sales technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex products, applications and solutions. We’re relied upon to deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to sales staff and customers and provide technical input into bid proposals. We also assess the potential of solutions to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Meet and connect with new and existing customers and provide them technical expertise, advice and inputs to help them to adopt Microsoft Cloud solutions like Azure and Microsoft Office 365.

Prepare and make presentations and conduct whiteboard technical discussions with customers if and when required for collaborating on infrastructure design, optimization and management.

Help customers to identify workloads for migrating to Microsoft Azure, and help them to migrate and test the same.

Ensure maximum customer coverage in the territory and support addition of new customers.

Work with Inside Sales and Outside Sales specialists to provide them technical inputs pertaining to Microsoft Cloud solutions.

Provide technical inputs for participating in RFPs, RFQs, tenders, etc.

Act as a technical point of contact for pre-sales counterparts at Microsoft.

Essential Requirements

6+ years of relevant experience in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 pre-sales roles.

Experience of working with large corporate customers in India.

Current technical certifications on Azure and/or Office 365.

Hands-on experience on Azure IaaS solutions, Datacenter Migrations, PaaS services or Azure AI/ML services.

Experience in designing, implementing, and managing private and hybrid cloud datacenters.

Self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaborate across delivery teams within Dell or with stakeholders external to Dell.

Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to contribute as a technical pre-sales team member.

Desirable Requirements

Knowledge of deploying 3rd party applications on Azure like Hadoop, SAP, Oracle, etc.

Knowledge of Azure PowerShell, CLI, Ansible, Chef, Kubernetes, Packer or Azure DevOps.
