Junior Software Developer, Backend at Spokeo, you will be responsible for the timely release of production data updates. This can include running, maintaining and monitoring production ETL jobs, including error handling. Additionally, this role will assist with the development of new ETL pipeline development.
Responsibilities:- Running, maintaining and monitoring of recurring production ETL jobs
- Production support of new or changing mappings and workflows
- Developing error handling and investigating data anomalies
- Developing unit tests and assisting with the release process
- Maintaining production documentation
- Collaborating in ETL design sessions with the team
Requirements:- One year of in-house/corporate development experience with a scripting language, such as Python, Ruby or PHP
- Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, such as Elasticsearch, DynamoDB or MongoDB
- Familiarity in agile environments such as Scrum and Kanban
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Terraform and other automation tools a plus
- Familiarity with Hadoop fundamentals and architecture, such as HDFS/MapReduce/Spark, a plus
- B.S. preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
