Job Description

Raytheon Pasadena is looking for a DevOps Engineer to work on multiple missions for our JPL/NASA customer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Contribute to a team of engineers and architects in an agile environment to ensure mission success.
Continuously improve DevOps tools, processes and procedures.
Deploy, manage, and support our environments, including troubleshooting of incidents.
Bring innovative ideas and solve complex technology problems.
Learn new technologies, architect, and implement new solutions to automate infrastructure.
Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production and Staging environments.

Education / Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM with a minimum of 6 years of related professional experience.
Required Skills:

Experience working with AWS including interface/tools such as EC2, S3, and Jenkins
Experience in automation via scripting and current generation infrastructure DevOps tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Experience in Python and Java at the Object Oriented Programming level.
Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, VPN, etc).
Experience with Linux and/or Mac operating systems.
Demonstrate experience providing engineered IT solutions to large programs in support of the customer’s mission.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Jenkins and running as a Jenkins Agent
Experience with writing Jenkins pipelines.
Knowledge in AWS SDKs.
Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the higher level of management.
A team player capable of high performance, flexibility in a dynamic working environment

The position is located in Pasadena CA
