What is the opportunity?

Reporting into a Senior Manager, this is a software engineering role within Solution Acceleration and Innovation team. We are engaged in exciting projects that are exploring the leading edge of what can be done in world of banking and payment tech. We take projects from ideation through ideation, alpha, beta and all the way into production in an accelerated manner, helping the bank be a leader in innovation. In this role, you will have an exciting opportunity to implement technical solution designs and ensure their alignment with architectural design and that our architecture is supported by key and innovative technologies.

What will you do?

• Design, implement, and maintain technical solutions initiatives and ensure adherence to overall IT architectural and solution design and direction
• Work along the quality engineering team to ensure implementation of technical solutions is of the highest quality
• Maintain and further expertise in modern Java development practices
• Ensure high code quality with detailed and frequent code reviews
• Participate in technical roundtables to ensure the highest quality technical solutions possible

What do you need to succeed?

• Experience with:
  • Java SE 8, Gradle, and Unix based operating systems
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • Object orientated software design
• Optional experience with Spring Framework (Boot 2.0, Cloud, Data, Web), Docker, Maven, SQL, Jenkins, GitHub, Microsoft Azure, and Tomcat

Nice-to-have

• Professional with experience on large projects/programs with multiple applications with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties
• Familiarity with database design, administration, and optimization
• Application of creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
