Chase has built a new strategic originations Business Intelligence Command Center to support its nationwide home lending business. The center is staffed with mortgage and data experts, and its primary responsibility is to help operations increase efficiency while improving overall customer satisfaction.

The Business Analyst II – Command Center Operations is responsible for supporting executives and management in key decision making through the use of data and analysis, dashboards, and reporting within Mortgage Banking. Successful candidates can tell a story, see behaviors, and design intuitive presentations utilizing data from multiple sources. These analysts will provide decision makers with insights and analysis critical to the success of the business.

Key Responsibilities :

• Synthesize data from a number of different sources to identify meaningful trends and patterns that will help mortgage operations improve the overall customer experience
• Work closely with Mortgage Operations to help identify opportunities to improve operations and employee efficiency
• Conceptualize, design, and build meaningful new views that provide new insights into mortgage operations efficiency and effectiveness
• Use advanced data discovery and data mining tools to reveal relationships and trends in the data providing new insights into behaviors
• Assist in designing high level command center monitoring tools that will be used to provide effective oversight of mortgage operations
• Extracting data from various sources using SQL queries
• Development of Dynamic SSRS reports and Stored Procedures to support reporting requirements.
• Interfacing with, and gathering information from, other areas of the business (Operations, IT, Finance, Marketing)
• Identifying and validating data sources
• Conceptualization of thoughtful, efficient summary and detail reporting that will add value to line level, management and executive business partners
• Recognizing and communicating meaningful trends/patterns in data and reporting

Qualifications :

• Strong technical skills in SSRS with knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and Excel preferred
• Robust analytical skills, especially pertaining to data analysis
• Ability to recognize and interpret meaningful trends and make recommendations for improvement
• Critical and analytical thinking - data-oriented mindset
• Ability to maintain detail focus and retain big picture perspective
• Strong business knowledge in the Mortgage Originations industry preferred
• Experience with Mortgage Express (MX), a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, MIS or related field preferred
