Job Description
Overview
The Technical Consultant is responsible for providing consulting services to our Perceptive Content customer base. The Consultant will provide services to customers in various market verticals. These services included software installations, upgrades, migrations, and other smaller engagements related to solution changes or enhancements
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery meetings with key customer stakeholders to determine requirements pertaining to service delivery
- Compose a written report documenting requirements for building the process solution with minimal oversight
- Present documentation on solution requirements to key customer stakeholders for validation and approval
- Design creative solutions using a wide breadth of software modules and applying best practice knowledge
- Implement solution based on the documented requirements; service engagements could involve installing new, upgrading existing, or a consulting assessment of ECM and other software
- Conduct training of customer users and of customer appointed software system administrators
- Support customer testing initiatives; troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
- Migrate solution into production environment; support customer throughout "go-live" process
- Transition key information to Technical Support team to ensure continued successful support of customer
- Understand the technical intricacies of software modules and successfully apply that understanding when developing requirements
- Identify and document best practices and challenges with configuring software solutions
- Provide guidance to other Technical Consultants
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science
- Experience with Perceptive Content
- Advanced skills in working with and configuring Windows OS
- Significant experience with configuring, designing and deploying software in the context of a project
- Advanced skills working with relational database management systems
- Advanced skills working with Windows server architecture and network topology design
- Strong collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas
- Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
- Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner
- Up to 40% travel time required
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
