Job Description

The Advanced Ground Systems (AGS) program in Colorado Springs is growing and needs a senior systems engineer to provide leadership for the development of our Nation’s newest systems to support Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs.

Boeing is developing state of the art Space BMC2 systems leveraging cutting edge technology across a diverse portfolio of applications and programs. We seek a candidate having depth of knowledge on the space mission domain including launch vehicles, satellite systems, space based sensors, mission and vehicle command & control (C2), modeling and simulation, system integration, and interoperability.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute a set of defined products for the management of engineering and support processes (SEMP, SDP, SAD, etc)
• Establish a requirements baseline including analysis, derivation, allocation, and traceability of requirements and interfaces, including external systems and organizations
• Requirements and TPM management including use of DOORS
• Identify, Perform and Review design decisions, trade studies, architecture improvements
• Decompose complex requirements into executable discrete user stories
• Establish and support system level management and interfaces
• Work with MBSE Toolsets such as SPARX Enterprise Architect
• Develop and manage risk with tools such as BOR

As a member of the Systems Engineering team, you will be involved in the entire system development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

• BS degree in Engineering, Math, Physics is required.
• Must possess a current (within the last 5 years) final Top Secret clearance. Boeing Security will validate clearance level.
• 5+ years of experience with Systems Engineering

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
