System Engineer 3 (P-723)

Job Description

The Boeing Space & Launch Division's Space Control program area is seeking Systems engineers to develop new advanced systems in support of a new satellite system.

The successful candidate will be supporting software architecture, modeling and simulation, and end-to-end development. Software will be developed using containerized microservices in a fast paced agile environment. We seek candidates who have skills in software engineering or software development.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute a set of defined products for the management of engineering and support processes (SEMP, SDP, SAD, etc)
• Establish a requirements baseline including analysis, derivation, allocation, and traceability of requirements and interfaces, including external systems and organizations
• Requirements and TPM management including use of DOORS
• Identify, Perform and Review design decisions, trade studies, architecture improvements
• Decompose complex requirements into executable discrete user stories
• Establish and support system level management and interfaces
• Work with MBSE Toolsets such as SPARX Enterprise Architect
• Develop and manage risk with tools such as BORIS

As a member of the Systems Engineering team, you will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

• BS degree in Engineering, Math, Physics is required.
• Must possess a current (within the last 5 years) final Top Secret clearance. Boeing Security will validate clearance level.
• 3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
