Job Overview

The Senior Business Analyst position will analyze, document, and manage business requirements for the CIO metrics and Service Management platforms.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and requirements.
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
• Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.
• Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
• Perform requirements gathering and analysis in-order to provide high quality and detailed requirements, ensuring the closest involvement with, and agreement from, the user community.
• Produce data/information models and preliminary system architecture, as needed, to provide an accurate graphical representation of proposed solutions.
• Create prototypes and simulations to provide an accurate graphical user interface representation of proposed solutions.
• Assist with process modeling to clarify business requirements, and to enhance or re-engineer business processes, prior to, or in parallel with, solution design and implementation.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure adherence to business requirements and specifications.
• Develop training and support programs for global technology and process implementations.
• Assist in the gathering of initial Business Case requirements & other pre-project activities (e.g., high-level requirements, project scope, objectives).
• Leverage ServiceNow, Spotfire and other tools, to create dashboards and reports to communicate scorecards, metrics and other analytics.
• Lead the design, implementation and management of new analytics & reporting solutions.
• Validate accuracy of scorecards and other reports taking corrective as applicable.
• Manage agile development requirements and development using JIRA.

Experience

Requires 3 - 5 years of prior relevant experience.

Requires 3-5 years of experience with business analytics and reporting tools such as Spotfire an SQL reporting

Experience with ServiceNow ITSM platform and ServiceNow Performance Analytics a plus

Knowledge

Requires advanced knowledge of job area, and broad knowledge of other related job areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
