Job Description
Role Summary:
Provide leadership and strong business partnership to deliver best-in-class solutions to support Advanced Military Engineering. Assess critical engineering disciplines and talent solutions, support strategic people movement and organizational change and manage employee relations, salary planning, coaching and rewards & recognition. Provide program leadership to support business initiatives. Support 5 executives, 22 managers, and 300+ employees.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Execute key HR initiatives, provide available and responsive internal employee support, and develop and implement HR processes
- Own communications, development, talent, compensation, and all core HR processes for function
- Provide advice and counsel to people leaders and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices
- Manage organization-level succession, pipeline & diversity strategy, planning, and implementation
- Ensure appropriate training opportunities are provided to employees to further personal, career, and organizational development
- Investigate and provide counsel to employees and leaders to resolve concerns
- Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment
- Drive various corporate and division business initiatives
- Identify recruiting and headcount needs, working with organizational leadership to assess and select outstanding talent
- Lead change initiatives, planning, and facilitation
- Partner with HRBP to develop and drive annual People Review for assigned clients
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Human Resources)
- Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Human Resources
Additional Eligibility Requirements - Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance

Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or Labor Relations
- GE HRLP Graduate or graduate of a similar program
- PHR/SPHR certification
- Experience facilitating training classes
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders, such as universities or community organizations
- Ability to assess organizational goals, direction, and opportunities and develop employee-centered initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness
- Ability to handle multiple initiatives and projects and drive to closure
- Ability to articulate GE Beliefs and engage and inspire entire organization
- Ability to drive HR processes and best practices across client groups
