Job Description
The Global Partner Operations Manager would be expected to lead cross-team efforts across Global Partner Operations (technical/customer support, etc) teams focusing on VMW’s Global SISO partners.
A solid background in Operations, Customer Support, and demonstrated capabilities in project management are needed. The Partner Operations Manager must be highly effective communicator. The position requires strong orchestration skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects/programs concurrently, as well as identifying opportunities to creative problem solvingin order to formulate a plan to overcome obstacles and reach goals.
The Partner Operations Manager will be responsible to initiate Project launches and post launch activities if needed, in addition to presentation of trends, analysis and reporting to executive and operational teams. A highly motivated Partner Operations Manager is passionate about creating business impact. The Partner Operations Program Manager is responsible for the following:
- Coordinate launch & post launch Operational readiness activities across Partner Operations functional teams and Business Route to Markets
- Define, own and drive metrics and key performance indicators for Projects if required to Operationalized
- Deliver clear Partner Operation business view/dashboard reporting to executive, business and operational teams
- Lead continuous improvement by leveraging insights to continue to evolve and update the Business
- Create and program manage the joint RTM/Partner Ops support plan
- Coordinate with teams outside of Partner Operations regarding Operational/Strategic activities
- Monitors and understand the health of internal customer service for different Route to Markets
Requirements:
- B.S. in Business Administration
- Experience in Partner/Strategic Operations
- Understanding and experience with Global Channel support teams
- Demonstrable aptitude or multiple years of experience in project/program management experience, preferably in software industry

- Strong organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast paced environment
- Ability to motivate others and provide focus on large collaborative and challenging goals and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team with a strong record of accomplishment in being capable of influencing change
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and experience interpreting data and taking corrective action
- Excellent business acumen with an ability to understand business impact of actions and decisions
- Strong knowledge of VMWare products and understands the business domain, customer positioning and prevailing technologies
