Job Description: VMware Data Engineering team is seeking a highly motivated, experienced SAP HANA Modeler within the Enterprise Architecture and Solution Delivery group located in Bangalore, India. This position is responsible for hands on development work on all aspects of SAP HANA architecture, data provisioning, modeling (design, development and deployment of HANA views), performance tuning and optimization. The candidate will work closely with both Enterprise and Solution Architecture teams to translate the Business/Functional requirements into technical specifications that drive HANA solutions to the meet functional requirements.

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for Design, Development of SAP HANA Information Models within the Enterprise HANA platforms •Interact with Enterprise/Solution Architects (EA), Business Analysts (BA) to gather high level business requirements

•Liaise with Functional and Operations teams to translate Functional Specifications into HANA technical specifications, ensure the HANA solutions confine to enterprise standards and best practices

•Participates in the planning and coordination of releases to production to ensure project timelines and release schedules are followed and deadlines are ultimately met

•Promotion of HANA content throughout the HANA landscape using SAP HANA Application Lifecycle Manager (HALM)

•Work with SAP BASIS and Security team to design and implement analytic privileges to secure and limit access for HANA views

•Assist with HANA performance tuning and query optimization efforts

•Expert in SQL , advanced SQL with sound knowledge of analytical functions

•Owns and resolves escalated issues to minimize associated impacts to project timelines

Qualifications & Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with preference for Computer Science or Engineering. MS degree would be highly desirable

•8+ years of experience in SAP Technologies

•Experience in the full-life cycle of large and complex enterprise services implementing SAP HANA solutions •Extensive experience in writing Stored Procedures in HANA using SQL and SQL Script, SQL debug tools.

•Creating Hierarchies, currency conversions and decision tables in HANA

•Experience implementing solutions in Agile methodology

•Working knowledge of SAP BW modeling with respect to SAP HANA

•Experience managing tasks for the delivery of multiple concurrent projects

•Understand and ability to work with Basis and infrastructure teams on HANA scale out architecture, sizing estimates, security and administration aspects

•Ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders

•Extensive experience adopting HANA best practices in Solution design, ability to identify the performance bottlenecks and resolve them

•Experience in SDA/SDI connecting HANA to external data bases like Hadoop

•Experience in Business objects reporting, metadata (Universe) creation

•Working experience S/4 HANA including analytics in native HANA platform, creating virtual data models

Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge of SAP reporting platform - SAP BOBJ, SAP Analytics Cloud , SAP Design Studio Knowledge of Data Integration Platforms- Informatica PowerCenter, SAP BODS , SDI, SLT Experience with Cloud technologies

Role Description:

• Responsible for assessing, estimating, designing and ensuring the efficient delivery of the functional aspects of SAP projects, enhancements
• Design & Configuration of SAP FICO module & S/4 HANA Simple Finance
• Configure CO-PA (Profitability Analysis), revenue recognition and settlements functionalities in CO module
• Participate/Drive Change request/Enhancement discussions in SAP (FI/CO/MM/SD/AA)
• Drive integration design with boundary systems such Coupa, Concur, Fieldglass
• Work with geographically distributed team comprising of R&D, IT and Operations
• Author system design documents & user stories in JIRA with knowledge on Agile methodology
• Drive end to end delivery of solutions being implemented & liaise with other IT teams such as BASIS, Integration & Security
• Must be willing to learn about existing (legacy) IT platforms as well as new market offerings (SaaS) in this domain

Qualifications:

• 5-9 years of full-time work-experience in relevant domains
• Excellent SAP skills – system functionality and technical understanding
• Experience in S4 HANA - Simple Finance preferred
• Skilled in CO-PA (Profitability Analysis] and implemented atleast 1 project in the past
• In-depth knowledge in SAP FI-SD-MM integration especially in various billing functionalities & revenue recognition
• Proficiency of writing RICEFW documents for enhancements in SAP.
• Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Familiarity / experience with SaaS offerings like Concur, Coupa, Fieldglass, Blackline is a plus
• SAP Certification preferred
