An exciting commercial opportunity has recently become available for a Clinical Applications Specialist – Cardiac Ultrasound, to join our Ultrasound team. Whether coming from a pure clinical background or having already made the shift in to the commercial world, your clinical experience within cardiology, and customer centric approach will be highly valued. Based Melbourne, covering Victoria, and reporting to the Product Manager – Cardiology Ultrasound, you will work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders and customers and play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of our Ultrasound business in ANZ.

Providing clinical support throughout the entire life cycle of the relationship with both new and existing customers, you will work in partnership with Account Managers to deliver pre-sale presentations and demonstrations. You will play a pivotal role in maximizing customer satisfaction, and elevating the efficiency of patient care, through providing effective training around the optimal use of our equipment once delivered / installed and handed over by Philips.

Other key responsibilities

  • Promote Philips Healthcare solutions during customer visits, product demonstrations, seminars and trade shows
  • Train customers in applying the best possible clinical procedures and protocols to achieve optimal usage of the equipment delivered
  • Train / re-train hospital staff in case of new releases, upgrade and / or versions (changes) in the operating procedures of the equipment
  • Conduct regular visits to customers to obtain direct feedback from them about the quality of the training delivery and the customer satisfaction
  • Be aware and to manage at all times the safety standards required by the company, including radiation protection, health and safety regulations. In the event of hazards or accidents, to take immediate control of the situation and involve the safety advisor from the Regional office
  • Support product launches and advise the sales force during acquisition
  • Keep up to date with new developments in the clinical application and operating field of the relevant equipment
  • Responsible for reporting customer feedback according to applicable quality standard policy and follow up relevant assigned quality & regulatory training in a timely manner

Your team

You will be working with other passionate and enthusiastic people committed to providing the very best service to customers. More broadly you will be working as part of the Philips Healthcare team, and have daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders across the business, especially the Ultrasound, Sales and Product Management teams.

We are looking for someone who has

  • Post Graduate studies in Sonography or Clinical Science
  • In-depth clinical experience within Cardiac Ultrasound
  • Extensive scanning experience within Cardiology
  • Previous experience in presentations and training
  • Outstanding relationship building and communication skills
  • High levels of motivation, energy and a drive to achieve results
  • Desire to be in a commercially focused role, partnering the business
  • The ability to travel across ANZ
