Role Summary:
Eager to start a career as one of the company's various lines of defense? Serve as Sr Staff Risk Advisor for the GE Aviation Cybersecurity & Technology Risk organization! The Risk Advisor will hold a key spot in assisting with planning and executing IT controls audits across a broad system portfolio to meet both internal and external audit requirements; including regulatory requirements, external certifications and internal risk-based activities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and program level management of the risk management programs
- Lead the documentation and implementation of the risk management program in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of Aviation DT while complying with regulatory guidance and standards related to enterprise risk management.
- Execute documentation and quantification of the organization’s risk appetite, i.e., the level of risk they are prepared to accept.
- Actively generate process improvements, support and inspire change and confront difficult circumstances in creative ways.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solution is a critical skill for the position. Develops peer, multi-functional and cross-GE business relationships to improve standard methodology sharing and team efficiency
- Act as subject matter expert for DT Cybersecurity & Technology Risk management activities and processes and be a primary liaison to functional counterparts.
- Own the risks and dependencies associated with product implementation.
- Conduct and lead periodic remote and onsite internal assessments to ensure processes and controls are effective as designed.
- Interpret and prioritize policies, audit findings and ad-hoc requests to drive DT controllership programs.
- Presents product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) within Risk & Compliance and to senior Risk leaders across GE.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years experience in Information Technology and Risk & Compliance but typically 9+ years.
Desired Characteristics:
- Prior experience from E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC or IT Corporate Audit Staff Graduate (GE Employee only)
- Experience in crafting, improving and implementing detailed wing to wing robust processes
- Proven track record of detailed quality documentation delivery to defined standards
- Understanding of regulatory and external certifications requirements as they relate to IT, such as CMMC, SOX, ISO, etc.
- Knowledge of Control Objectives for Information & Related Technology (CoBIT) and other industry standards like NIST 800-53A and NIST 800-171
- Experience of auditing technologies (SAP, Oracle ERP, Oracle Database, MS SQL, Windows, Unix, AS400) in particular for access management and change management
- Recognized certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CGEIT, CIA, CISM, CISSP, etc.
- Skilled in negotiation to align partners and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the scrum team and balances value propositions for competing partners
- Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
