As an Executive Assistant at Pearson, you support two of our Senior Vice Presidents, in our Product Technology and Product Management teams, facilitating an array of operational and administrative tasks at a global scale. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up to date with the latest short-term and long-term priorities of the SVPs and broader organization. Key to this role is being proactive, organized and analytical, while using strong business judgment and communication skills to interact with a variety of people. Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive administrative support to CTO and CPO, including heavy scheduling, travel, expense reports, event planning, training coordination, etc.
  • Ensure executives’ time is leveraged most effectively and ensure alignment across direct reports.
  • Attend meetings, understand context, capture major takeaways and drive follow-up actions.
  • Attend management meetings, distribute minutes and drives completion of actions
  • Coordinate logistics of virtual and in-person engagement events including meetings, townhalls, conferences, seminar and other on/off-site events
  • Manage calendar including meetings with substantial variety and complexity
  • Manage in a matrixed form direct report Executive Assistant team
  • Proactively identify issues that could impact the successful execution of business objectives/commitments
  • Complete all travel arrangements and proceeding expense processes to enable cost efficiency and speedy reimbursement
  • Project Management:
  • Familiarize oneself with project objectives as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
  • Work with PT SLT on global Staff Engagement activities
  • Support programs across global organization
  • Corporate Communication Management:
  • Develop draft communications and/or research in support of these
  • Compile dashboard/decks for leadership meetings and additional offsite trainings
  • Contribute to communications strategy with Communications Manager in drafting/proofreading online publications, posts and presentations

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Direct C-level support experience.
  • Background in a global large-scale corporate environment.
  • Experience serving as a project lead from conception to completion.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions.
  • Adept at typical technology and ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies; Interest and experience in using technology and the Internet to improve work efficiency.
  • Expectation of complete confidentiality on all business matters.
