When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do...

• Participate in monthly general ledger closing process for European entities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling assigned accounts
• Reconcile ERP sub-ledgers to the General Ledger
• Work closely/as a back up to Accounts Payable Specialists on invoice coding, Travel&Expenses processing, and month-end close processes
• Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns, revenue and receivable reconciliation, and the month end fixed asset process
• Be responsible for Casper EU's wholesale billing and accounts receivable processes
• Be responsible for our banking, accounts receivables and cash applications
• Support in any statutory or group audit requirements
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal processes and controls
• Ad hoc project assistance upon request

Our dream candidate...

• Has a degree in Accounting and/or qualification as a Financial Accountant
• Has 2-4 years work experience, with demonstrated problem solving abilities
• Has sound knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
• Is willing to extend themselves and assist other people
• Has understanding of financial controls and processes
• Is experienced and competent in working with ERP-Systems and Excel
• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Has good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
• Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Is able to work in a dynamic environment
• Has excellent skills in both German and English, other EU languages a bonus

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of French, UK and/or US GAAP
• Prior experience with an E-commerce and/or manufacturing entity
• Accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience
