What you’ll be doing...
Be a part of the rapidly growing Connected Car SaaS industry, as you work alongside some of the sharpest minds in SaaS software and mobile app development. Our engineering teams take advantage of the latest technologies to design, build and test solutions that are literally transforming connected vehicle around the world. We are looking for a principal software engineer to help tackle the exciting technical opportunities ahead. As our lead devops engineer, you will work hands-on capacity and immediate contact with application development teams of the Platform group responsible for backend solutions. Emphasis of the role is on continuous delivery and “total automation”.

Responsibilities:

  • Automate software deployments for the IoT gateway Fleet platform.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams of Software Engineers, QA Automation, Operations and business stakeholders to ensure smooth deployments of software updates.
  • Pro-actively work with the teams to improve the process of building and deploying solutions across all test and production environments, with a focus on applications and infrastructure hosted in AWS.
  • Develop and maintain reusable automation scripts and components with a variety of build and deployment automation tools, including but not limited to: git implementations (e.g. Bitbucket), build runners (e.g. Bamboo or Jenkins), deployment automation (e.g. Octopus) and AWS IaC (infrastructure as a code) scripts.
  • Maintain the systems supporting the SDLM Stack

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six years of experience as a Build/Release Engineer in an lean development environment.
  • Experience of deploying applications and databases in AWS specifically Docker and .NET Core deployments.
  • Experience of leveraging AWS services and automating via cloudformation.
  • Experience in scripting and automation skills, especially Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell and Bash.
  • Deployments of microservices in projects using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Messaging Architecture.
  • Experience on CI/CD and Blue/Green deployments.
  • Experience with any of the following build and deployment automation platforms: Bamboo, TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, Web Deploy (MSDeploy), TFS, AWS CodeDeploy, GoCD.
  • Experience using Git, Gitflow (branching model).
  • Experience of deploying .NET Framework applications and components (WCF, ASP.NET, Windows services etc.)
  • Holistic approach to the application development and strong owner attitude of the functionality provided to the customers.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with large enterprise scale solutions.
  • Experience or good understanding of .Net Framework and C#.
  • Experience in development and/or DBA with MS SQL Server.
  • Cloud-based certifications will be of benefit
