In our Belfast city centre office we build intelligent, cloud-enabled networking technology for the enterprise. As a placement engineer, you’ll be given the opportunity to make a key contribution to the next generation of data centre technology. You’ll get to use Python, Javascript, Erlang and C++ in an agile environment to make customer networks faster, smarter and more resilient.

HPE want to hire software engineers for our Belfast-based software R&D teams, starting a one-year placement in summer 2020.

We’re looking for people who:

• Are studying for a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Have a passion for programming and willingness to learn new technologies
• Need to be stretched by interesting, challenging problems
• Want to move beyond application programming to build entire software systems
• Are interested in at least some of the following: computer networks, operating systems, concurrent programming, distributed systems
