Work you’ll do

As a Specialist Master within our HRT team you will:

  • Plan and deliver enterprise technology, systems integration, governance, architecture and engineering services to further the goal of meeting the vision of the client-of a secure, standard based environment.
  • Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of projects
  • Maintain technical knowledge within industry and service line and leverage deep subject matter knowledge on engagements
  • Contribute to the development and cultivation of business and vendor relationships
  • Serve as a “Subject Matter Expert”, adding interpretive value to data presented or experienced insight into a functional process or issue
  • Display business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
  • Identify opportunities for other Deloitte service offerings that can address client needs
  • Responsible for managing solutions, delegating resources, and helping to ensure quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables
  • Supervises the work of team members and supports delivery teams and staff
  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process

The HRT service line helps our clients take that broader view of what it means to transform HR and become a High Impact HR organization. This encompasses not only improving HR processes and organizational structure, but also looking strategically at how HR can better support business needs and create value for the organization.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 6+ year’s experience managing complex enterprise IT projects / operations / systems / applications
  • 2+ year’s experience managing and supervising employees of various labor categories and skills in projects
  • Ability to implement innovative approaches in fulfilling requirements to improve IT services with a potential of cutting overall cost and finding efficiencies through the use of technology
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Psychology (I/O Psychology, Sociology, Information Technology, or Hard Sciences with a focus on research and analysis
  • 6+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • 2+ years in a technical or functional lead role
  • Experience mentoring and coaching others
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
  • Must be able to commute daily to client site at Ft. Knox; if not local to the Fort Knox area, must be able to travel up to 80%

Preferred:

  • Experience in leadership of complex tasks, including review of work products for correctness, compliance with industry ‘best practices’, DOD standards, and military standards
  • Experience translating requirements into project plans and milestones, directing and implementing plans; and presenting formal project status/plan briefings to Government managers
  • Experience working in the Defense Acquisition environment
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required, with experience briefing executive personnel
  • Possess a project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent Government certification
  • Active Secret Clearance
