PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
As Customer Experience & Solutions (CXS), we make the digital transformation for our customers happen. With SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), customers implement solutions faster and operate them at lower cost using requirements management, design, development, testing, change management, continuous integration, and release management.
The Product Management team is responsible for the roll-in, product definition and roll-out of all build aspects of the next generation of ALM world-wide for the Cloud and on premise.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a product manager for SAP Cloud ALM you will be responsible for the product management of SAP Cloud ALM for implementation. SAP Cloud ALM is a completely new product line for ALM in the age of the cloud – and in this team you are shaping the future of the integrative and crucial parts of the intelligent suite. The teams work with a cloud mindset and are pioneering Cloud Foundry, cloud-native, DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. You will closely work together with the development teams and you will present the achievements to customers, analysts, media representatives and user groups world-wide. The same goes for internal stakeholders at any level. You will manage the partner network and identify potential collaboration scenarios.
The role is responsible for:
• Product definition
• Translate business needs into a corresponding development plan
• Create superior rollout material
• Shape business-value based, high-impact presentations
• Identify customer situations to be used for customer proof points and showcases
• Act as trusted advisor to business, manage stakeholders’ expectations to ensure alignment, visibility and high level of satisfaction.
• Frequent L2 and L1 communication
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
• Profound understanding of Cloud, Cloud-native development with a sound technical background
• 5 years’ experience in product management / development/ support / field is of advantage
• Ability to transform experience in machine learning, AI and predictive analysis into ALM use cases
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with experts as well as executive management
• Strong leadership skills – even without authority in self-organized teams
• Team thinking / problem solving / design thinking
• Very strong negotiation and mediation skills as well as solution-oriented mindset
• Language skills: fluency in German as well as English required
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Experience in leading a topic within a product management team, and a network of senior and executive stakeholders
• Successful track record of working with customer facing teams like product/ solution management and services
