Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies?
The ESA Manager will lead a portion of the Electronically Steered Phased Arrays (ESA) Product portfolio for the RF Center of Excellence. Overall responsibility includes leading ESA systems organization, supporting the development and update to the strategy to support customer mission needs, developing tools for requirements management, identification of RF analysis tools used to support ESA designs, verification of performance, and overseeing test support and STE development and validation. You will have the chance to lead Independent Research and Development IRAD and Contract Research and Development CRADs in the ESA Products portfolio. Scope includes Product Management of the efforts which encompass conceptual design, engineering development and eventually to flight hardware. Program Management responsibilities include oversight of the program including financials, Cost Account Manager CAM, technical feasibility, ensuring achievable schedules are baselined and managed, evaluating program risks and handling those within the available resources, leading the technical team and coordinating across the functional organizations to execute CRADs, respond to Request for Proposal RFPs and support other Line of Business LOB needs. The job requires coordination with the customer and internally within LM Space. You will brief leaders as well as the customer. You will clearly articulate the strategy and translate that strategy into tactical execution. Excellent communication skills to understand the mission needs, understand customer available resources and manage their expectations is imperative. You will lead the team through different development timelines to develop and manage efforts. The ESA Sr. Manager will drive product affordability by reducing costs & cycle time across all functions; continually evaluate technological innovations and evaluate their applicability within the ESA portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:
Degree in engineering or the hard sciences (e.g. physics) and experience in aerospace-related systems. At least two years of leadership experience. Knowledge of engineering and program planning throughout the life-cycle phases. Relevant experience leading a team through conceptual design, program level requirement reviews and design reviews. Excellent presentation, oral and written skills to facilitate effective and efficient interchanges with customer and management. Ability to lead diverse teams and cultivate talent. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Customers within the RF CoE and Space Lines of Businesses. RF Engineering skills with an understanding of ESAs. Three or more years in project or product management experience. Experience leading development teams through major achievements including Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR). Ability to build a strong team from diverse backgrounds and build a positive culture to create great things. Strong leadership skills leading teams through different objectives while handling customer expectations. Demonstrated ability to nurture talent.
