The Expedia Local Expert® line of business sells travel products including tours, activities, attractions, and ground transfers to consumers throughout the world.

The Associate Destination Manager’s primary responsibility is to develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of products (i.e. meaningful, attractive and innovate) for Expedia’s fast-growing global customer base, within their assigned territory.

In doing so, you will continuously work with partners to help them improve the production potential from their participation in the Expedia marketplace by intelligently utilizing data insights, marketing, distribution and revenue management principles.

This role is the core on which the Destination Management team is based. The team ensures that the Expedia brands’ global customers always find the most suitable product for their dream trip and that our partners can effectively, expertly and throughout the year, reach Expedia’s full breadth of global traveler demand.

This role can be based in either SG or HK.

What you'll do

  • Develop and sustain strong partner relationships by providing meaningful data insights and high-quality consulting services to partners (revenue management advice, marketing opportunities)
  • Ensure that partner products (content, rates, and availability) are consistently optimized on the Expedia sites to improve customer conversion
  • Secure additional product rates and availability information over high demand and compression periods to satisfy customers’ pressing needs
  • Negotiate attractive offers, seasonal deals, and promotions within the guidelines set by management to support the brands’ merchandising and marketing efforts
  • Continuously promote and develop partners’ high engagement with Expedia’s self-service tools
  • Utilizing data to help identify, prioritize, and drive operational improvements, such as streamlined redemption and accounting processes
  • Attend Tradeshows, partner briefings, and individual account visits to review information, processes, and feature updates

Who you are
You’ll fit this role if you have

  • Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent
  • Account Management experience
  • Experience working in various markets across Asia
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships
  • Strong attention to details, analytical, organizational skills
  • Online/E-commerce travel industry experience preferred. With Knowledge of Activities (Things to Do) division of the travel industry a great advantage
  • High impact personality: intellectual agility, entrepreneurship, compassion in relationship, great teammate
