Job Description
Role Summary:
The Data Architect role will be working within a global team to Maintain ERP Aviation Product
Engineering global data. In this role, you will partner with GE MRO Aviation sites,
Engineering/Technical publications and the ERP technical team to deliver robust engineering
master data . This role will provide operational and functional data management in compliance
with OEM specifications and Quality Assurance requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Monitoring engine, module, and component configuration data elements within OASIS to ensure compliance to the applicable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specifications while adhering to the policies and procedures of the Engineering COE and the associated Quality system requirements of the applicable Repair Stations.
Strong communication skills to facilitate coordination and harmonization of Data Structure change management for sites in Production
Ability to effectively execute within a global team environment, to deliver robust master data structures in SAP, for complex requirements and to a high degree of customer satisfaction
Be able to provide Technical/Functional and Process guidance/instruction for sites in Production maintaining Data Integrity Standards in line with approved, published Documentation and OASIS
Coordination with the Product Support Engineering (PSE) and the Technical Publications groups of GE Aviation and/or associated Component Maintenance Manufacturer OEM groups to obtain clarity of requirements for configuration data elements not clearly specified within current publications.
Use SAP programs like LSMW/BDC/custom programs for loading data elements
Establish an operating rhythm with the existing sites to review KPI’s for production/engineering master and implement procedures to proactively manage them.
Train new team members in specific technology or process area
Collaborate with team to determine strategy and plan for data conversion projects. Produce and maintain project documentation and provide appropriate communications for responsibilities assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering
and Math).
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Aviation Engineering Diagrams and Engine Manuals
Must be willing to travel.

Knowledge of Aviation Engine technical publications
Working knowledge of Aviation maintenance and repair shops
Working in a global delivery model
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
